Home Support Worker/Personal Care Attendant Instructor
Corona College is looking for a dynamic individual to join its team of instructors. We are presently searching for an energetic person to organize, instruct and supervise our Home Support Worker/Personal Care Attendant Program. If you meet the necessary skills and would like to work in the private college setting, Corona is interested in hearing from you.
Education:
Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Specific Skills:
A. Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses
B. Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress
C. Advise students on program curricula and career decisions
D. Conduct course and program evaluation or review
E. Deliver lectures and presentations
Essential Skills:
Reading text, Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing
Education:
MUST BE A REGISTERED NURSE. Degree in social services or health care environment is required.
Other:
Instruct in both academic and practical portions of Home Support Worker/Personal Care Attendant Program. Some of the courses include: Caring Relationship, Nutrition, Growth and Development, Personal Care, Hygiene, Homemaking and Day-to-Day Affairs, Safe Operation of Equipment, etc.
